    Margie,
I took your class last night and learned a lot. I am hoping I can follow what you said and do everything correcly!
I just ran CCLeaner and this is what came up. Some of the items make me a little nervous about deleting them. I have tried to include a screen shot. Would you please take a look at it to see if you think I am going to miss any of it, if I run the cleaner.
    Thank you so much. Janet

      Janet,
I didn't get the screen shot – however – CCleaner just won't delete anything that you can't live without. It's almost always temporary internet files, cache, history, duplicates that Windows makes…in other words, it's ok to run the cleaner.

Margie: Audrey and I took your calss Wednesday night and thank you for a very informative session. I just downloaded CCleaner and rau a scann on ouyr computer. It detected 425 errors but the free download will only repair 2 of them. It will not repair the remaining 423 without registering (purchasing) the program for a year. Am I doing something wrong? I am certain I remember you saying that the program was free and would repair all the errors it located. Any suggestions or help?
    Regards, Mac

Mac, I just did a google search for "c cleaner" and discovered several other products that are NOT the ccleaner I told you about. Be sure to use the link in the comment above. Delete whatever program you downloaded and ran. It might have been located at "pccleanersoft.com".

Margie, I appreciate your guidance on Google. I have tried Chrome before and it seemed to slow things down on my computer so I am now pretty happy with Google thru Firefox. I am always open to better ways though. I have used a program for several years which I have found very valuable for speeding up logins and making online purchases. I have never had a problem with it. It supports multiple identities in a family and works through very long passphrases to ensure security. It is paid for so there is no advertising or scamware. The name of the program is Roboform. (roboform.com) There is also a function to store information on purchase codes and other info needing to be stored. It also works as a portable program to move from computer to computer and auto loads into the processor for immediate use and uninstall when the portable drive is removed. It is similar in function to Gator but with none of the bad things.
